KAUFMAN
To those who do not know me, I am an Attorney in Sandusky and I have been practicing Law since 1998. I am a 1989 graduate of Sandusky High School. I received my Bachelor’s degree and my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo. For the last 28 years, I have been a partner at the Law Firm of Kaufman & Kaufman, Co., LPA. My practice consists of general civil litigation, domestic relations, criminal defense, estate planning and probate, land transactions, and municipal representation. I regularly represent both Plaintiffs and Defendants in Civil litigation. I have also handled thousands of criminal matters as either the Prosecutor or as Defense Counsel.
I have served as the Assistant Law Director/Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Sandusky, the Prosecutor for the Village of Kelleys Island, Prosecutor for the City of Huron, Solicitor for the Village of Bay View and Special Prosecutor for Ottawa County. I was also formerly a member of the Erie County Health Department, Board of Health where I served as the President Pro Tempore.


I am a member of the Erie County Bar Association, Huron County Bar Association, and the Ohio State Bar Association. I am licensed to practice in all Courts of the state of Ohio as well as the United States Federal Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
I am an active member of the Sandusky Rotary Club, the Sandusky Elks Club and the Huron Township Conservation Club. I am married to my wife, Sarah Kaufman, and we have three children: Braden, Cameron, and Reagan.
My extensive connections to the City of Sandusky, Perkins Township, and the Villages of Bay View and Castalia complement my life experiences and my unique understanding of the needs of the community and our local Judicial system.
